Who we are Meet the makers

Our Story

Creative DeZigns began in 1986, founded by my late mum after raising her family in Johannesburg and returning to the UK. Inspired by the creativity and spirit of South Africa, she recognised a need for unique, affordable accessories that felt personal and different from the mass-produced options on the high street - and offered UK women a way to express themselves with confidence and individuality. Having worked closely with her on this passion-fuelled journey, I stepped into the lead nearly two decades ago, continuing her vision, with a focus on small-batch production, ethical fashion and a deep respect for South African craftsmanship. Today, I work directly with skilled artisans in Cape Town and Nepal to create stylish, easy-to-wear clothing and jewellery designed for real women and real lives. These are feel-good pieces - thoughtfully made, ethically sourced, and full of the laid-back, sun-soaked spirit of South Africa.

The Zuri lariat beaded necklace is handmade by Aurora artisans in South Africa, using skilled beadwork and delicate finishing. Each piece is crafted in small batches, giving it unique character and meaning.

This design features fine beaded strands in graphite or luminous pearl tones, ending in baroque-style drops. The subtle contrast between the beads and drops plays with light and texture. Lightweight but eye-catching, it adjusts beautifully whether worn loose or tied.

The Zuri lariat beaded necklace works beautifully with V-neck blouses and dresses, layered over high necks, or tied for a back-drop effect. Let the drops dangle or loop through for a personal finish.
