Who we are Meet the makers

Our Story

Creative DeZigns began in 1986, founded by my late mum after raising her family in Johannesburg and returning to the UK. Inspired by the creativity and spirit of South Africa, she recognised a need for unique, affordable accessories that felt personal and different from the mass-produced options on the high street - and offered UK women a way to express themselves with confidence and individuality. Having worked closely with her on this passion-fuelled journey, I stepped into the lead nearly two decades ago, continuing her vision, with a focus on small-batch production, ethical fashion and a deep respect for South African craftsmanship. Today, I work directly with skilled artisans in Cape Town and Nepal to create stylish, easy-to-wear clothing and jewellery designed for real women and real lives. These are feel-good pieces - thoughtfully made, ethically sourced, and full of the laid-back, sun-soaked spirit of South Africa.

The Heather Taupe arm-knitted infinity snood is ethically made in Cape Town using unique, limited-edition upcycled fabric yarn. For anyone looking for snoods for women that are easy to wear, its soft grey taupe shade has a hint of mauve and pairs beautifully with natural shades, black, navy and denim.

Think of this fabric snood as somewhere between an unusual scarf and a statement necklace. The fabric has tiny perforations throughout, adding texture to the snood. It brings individuality to a simply outfit while providing a little warmth around the neck.

Like all our snoods for women, each Heather Taupe snood is individually arm knitted, so every piece has its own subtle variations. Simply pop it over your head and let is sit naturally around your neckline.
