Who we are Meet the makers

Our Story

Creative DeZigns began in 1986, founded by my late mum after raising her family in Johannesburg and returning to the UK. Inspired by the creativity and spirit of South Africa, she recognised a need for unique, affordable accessories that felt personal and different from the mass-produced options on the high street - and offered UK women a way to express themselves with confidence and individuality. Having worked closely with her on this passion-fuelled journey, I stepped into the lead nearly two decades ago, continuing her vision, with a focus on small-batch production, ethical fashion and a deep respect for South African craftsmanship. Today, I work directly with skilled artisans in Cape Town and Nepal to create stylish, easy-to-wear clothing and jewellery designed for real women and real lives. These are feel-good pieces - thoughtfully made, ethically sourced, and full of the laid-back, sun-soaked spirit of South Africa.

WEISS

Founded in 2011 by Peter and Debbie, WEISS Cape Town is a small, independent clothing label rooted in timeless design, premium natural fabrics, and South African craftsmanship.

With a long-standing career as a fashion designer and maker, Debbie brings decades of experience to each design. Her focus on detail, fit, and fabric choice is reflected in every shirt. Each piece is individually made in Cape Town by a skilled team of garment makers who share a commitment to quality and slow, considered production.

Best known for their classic white cotton shirts with contrasting Liberty print trims, WEISS works exclusively with 100% cotton, sourcing Liberty fabrics specially for each order.

From clean lines and flattering fits to thoughtful finishing touches, WEISS designs offer versatile, easy-to-wear pieces that blend laid-back style with effortless elegance.
